The Statement
of Systems Analysts:
We, Systems Analysts, will contribute to businesses
and the society by formulating information systems strategies
and implementation plans. We will strive to seek the
best solutions by enhancing our own knowledge and skills
through consistent practice and self-development. In
collaborations with information technology professionals
of various fields, we will develop human resources,
provide information, and make proposals for realizing
the information-oriented society.
JSAG Overview:
Systems Analysts are high-level
IT professionals certified by the Japanese Ministry
of Economy, Trade and Industry. Those licensed professionals
founded Japan Systems Analysts Group (JSAG) in November
11, 2000 as a voluntary association. JSAG now has about
500 members nationwide, and six chapters in the Hokkaido,
Tohoku, Kanto, Chubu, Kansai, and Kyushu regions of
Japan. The members join JSAG not only for their special
interests as organized IT professionals, but also as
challenge-oriented individuals who would like to inspire
each other under JSAG mission and strategy they agreed
on.
Activities:
JSAG holds open forums for IT professionals at least
once a year -- Osaka in 2003, Tokyo in 2004, Ogaki in
2005, Fukuoka in 2006, Sapporo in 2007, and Osaka in
2008.
Many JSAG members publish their books, and their works
are introduced in our web site.
On the daily basis, members nationwide communicate closely
and share information using mailing lists. Chapters
hold meetings and seminars
regularly to deepen communication among members. JSAG
occasionally works together with other professional
communities.
April, 2008 Hideki Andoh, President
of JSAG
